Jeffrey Vachon DMD, MAGD
Jeffrey Vachon DMD, MAGD
Dr. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bates College in 2002. He moved to Boston and began working in the Cardiovascular Medicine Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital conducting research on heart disease, specifically Atherosclerosis. His work culminated with the study’s publication in the October 2005 issue of Circulation, Journal of the American Heart Association. Dr. Vachon later accepted a Clinical Research Coordinator position at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute conducting breast cancer research. Witnessing the positive impact that his father has had on NH communities, combined with the desire to make a difference in the health field, has served as motivation to pursue a career in dentistry. He is a graduate of Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine, as is his father.
Dr. Jeff excels in the care of children, patient education, and, of course, the technical skills of dentistry. He is accepting new patients and looks forward to working with our excellent team members and loyal patients.
He was the President of the Greater Manchester Dental Society in 2014-2015 and also served as the Chair of the Council on Membership for the NH Dental Society 2017-2019. Dr. Jeff is currently on the Board of Trustees representing the Great Manchester Dental Society and is also the Chair of the COVID-19 Taskforce for the NH Dental Society. He also has the honor of being voted by his peers as a New Hampshire Magazine Top Dentist 2014-2020.
He was previously given the President’s Award at the annual NH Dental Society meeting for his outstanding leadership at the state level. Dr. Jeff also recently earned his Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, a feat accomplished by less than 2% of all general dentists in the United States.
He enjoys spending his free time doing just about anything sports related with his family. Make sure to ask about the Red Sox themed dental operatory!

Amy Rust, DMD, FAGD
A New Hampshire native, Dr. Amy Rust completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, where she graduated with BS in Medical Microbiology. She was in the UNH Wildcat Marching Band as a saxophonist and drum major. During her time at UNH, Dr. Rust discovered her passion for dentistry as a member of the UNH Pre-Dental Society, participating in community outreach programs, such as teaching oral hygiene at local elementary schools and volunteering at the Mission of Mercy dental clinic in Connecticut.
Dr. Rust graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine, as part of its inaugural class in 2017. While at UNE, Dr. Rust was a council member for the dental school’s American Student Dental Association chapter and was the Chief Editor of the yearbook. As part of her clinical experience, Dr. Rust completed a three-month externship at Mid-State Health Center in Bristol, NH.
Dr. Rust is looking forward to providing quality dental care to patients of all ages at Vachon Dental. Dr. Rust offers a broad range of services, from fillings, crowns, veneers, and Clear Correct, to extractions, crown lengthening, and laser procedures. She has also completed advanced education and training in the surgical placement of dental implants. Dr. Rust’s practice philosophy is to provide patient-focused, comprehensive care in the most relaxed and pain-free environment possible. She understands that many patients have some degree of dental anxiety, and her goal is for her patients to have a positive experience in the dental chair.
Dr. Rust is licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New Hampshire. She is committed to staying current with the latest materials and techniques, attending many continuing education courses and seminars each year.
Dr. Rust is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, the Greater Manchester Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She recently earned her Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry and is currently working towards her Mastership from the organization.
Dr. Rust lives in Auburn, NH, with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, bicycling, drawing, and gardening.

I’m an MAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?
MAGD stands for Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Mastership takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Less than 2 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Masters. When you see a dentist with MAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Masters practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.
To become an AGD Master, a dentist must:
- Complete over 1,100 credit hours of CE.
- Earn 400 of those 1,100 credits in hands-on courses.
- Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

I’m an FAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.
To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:
- Complete over 500 credit hours of CE.
- Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.
- Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.
