Dr. Amy Rust, a New Hampshire native, is originally from Salem, NH. Dr. Rust was in the honors society and was recognized for her achievements in several subjects, including science, art, and music. While in the school band, Dr. Rust was selected for solos on alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and bassoon and was a drum major in the marching band.
Dr. Rust completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, a minor in music, and University Honors. She was in the UNH Wildcat Marching Band as a saxophonist and drum major. During her time at UNH, Dr. Rust discovered her passion for dentistry. She joined the pre-dental society and had the opportunity to not only meet with and shadow NH dentists, but she also participated in community outreach programs, such as teaching oral hygiene at local elementary schools and volunteering at the Mission of Mercy dental clinic in Connecticut.
Dr. Rust graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine, as part of its inaugural class in 2017. While at UNE, Dr. Rust was a council member for the dental school’s American Student Dental Association chapter and was the Chief Editor of the yearbook. As part of her clinical experience, Dr. Rust completed a three-month externship at Mid-State Health Center in Bristol, NH, and participated in a two-week rotation at a pediatric dental clinic at a high school in Portland, ME.
Dr. Rust is looking forward to providing quality dental care to patients of all ages at Vachon Dental. Dr. Rust offers a broad range of services, including fillings, crowns, veneers, implant crowns, dentures, Clear Correct, extractions, and root canal therapy. Dr. Rust’s practice philosophy is to provide patient-focused, comprehensive care in the most relaxed and pain-free environment possible. She understands that many patients have some degree of dental anxiety, and her goal is for her patients to have a positive experience in the dental chair.
Dr. Rust is licensed to practice dentistry in the state of New Hampshire. She is committed to staying current with the latest materials and techniques, attending many continuing education courses and seminars each year.
Dr. Rust is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, the Greater Manchester Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Rust lives in Auburn, NH, with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, bicycling, drawing, and gardening.
